THE ROLE
The Events & Communications Coordinator provides delivery-focused support for the BEYOND Conference and selected BEYOND Studio projects as required.
The role supports speaker coordination, event administration and communication to ensure smooth and well-organised delivery across the 2026 programme.
This position is suited to an organised professional looking to develop experience in events and communications within a small, collaborative team.
ABOUT BEYOND STUDIO
BEYOND Studio is an independent, international organisation based in the UK. We are a highly creative, multidisciplinary team of specialists in event direction, communications and partner engagement - working across in-person, virtual and hybrid formats.
We create and produce our own events and projects, including the BEYOND Conference, the Immersive Futures Lab, Emerging Innovators and the Creative Economy Digest, which reaches over 20,000 subscribers. We also collaborate with national and international clients to deliver events and projects that showcase research and innovation impact, build networks and promote knowledge sharing.
The BEYOND Conference is our flagship event - bringing together leaders, practitioners and innovators from across the creative and cultural sectors to explore the future of the creative economy. The 2026 conference takes place at The Lowry, MediaCity, Salford, 23-25 November.
Job Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
> Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
> Experience in an administrative, events or communications support role
> Well organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks
> Confident and professional in follow-up communication
> Highly competent with Google Workspace or similar solutions e.g. Microsoft 365
> Comfortable working in a virtual-first team, with proven ability to self-manage schedule and workload remotely
Desirable Skills & Experience
> Experience supporting conferences or live events
> Familiarity with Canva or basic formatting tools
> Familiarity with spreadsheets or online database tools e.g. Airtable
> Interest in the creative industries
Job Responsibilities
Event & Contributor Support
> Support speaker, exhibitor and partner coordination for BEYOND Conference and other projects as required
> Provide onsite delivery support during BEYOND Conference
Communications Support
> Draft and proofread email communications, website updates and event announcements
> Produce digital and printed event collateral, including briefing documents, information packs and signage
> Ensure communications are delivered in line with agreed timelines
Stakeholder Communication & Representation
> Act as a reliable point of contact for contributors and partners throughout the event cycle, ensuring correspondence is timely, accurate and consistent with the BEYOND brand
Administration & Coordination
> Maintain shared documents, trackers and contact lists
Contribute to organised internal workflows during peak delivery periods
Remote Working & Self-Management
> Take ownership of your own schedule and workload in a remote-first environment.
