Job Summary
Job Description
Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the General Manager will implement the strategic vision, ensuring its effective, profitable and sustainable operation to a high professional standard.
The role involves leadership across the organisation, including gallery administration, caf operations, volunteer and staff management, financial oversight, brand, marketing, public engagement and premises management.
The General Manager supports Trustee-led fundraising and grant activity, coordinates volunteer participation, and acts as the primary point of contact for staff and volunteers. Externally, the post- holder represents the Gallery, cultivating relationships with stakeholders, funders and community partners, and contributing to its long-term sustainability and reputation.
The responsibilities are subject to change and may include other duties as required by the trustees.
Job Requirements
General management experience in arts, culture, heritage, or visitor focused organisations.
Experience implementing board-level strategy and policy.
Strong financial and operational leadership skills, including budget management
