Artist Workshop Facilitator - Family Engagement Programme
North Lincolnshire Council is seeking a creative and experienced Artist Workshop Facilitator to design and deliver a family-friendly arts workshop as part of a cultural trail. This opportunity is ideal for an artist passionate about community engagement, creativity, and inclusive practice.

The selected artist will enter into a formal agreement with North Lincolnshire Council and take responsibility for planning and delivering a full-day interactive workshop (10am-4pm). The workshop should feature hands-on creative activities suitable for families, inspired by the trail and incorporating a visit to a bear sculpture. Activities may include craft, drawing, sculpture, storytelling, digital animation, or collaborative artwork, with the option to explore themes such as environmental awareness, wildlife conservation, and climate change.

The facilitator will create a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment for participants of all ages and abilities. Responsibilities include setting up and packing away materials, ensuring accessibility, and working with venue staff to support engagement. Flexibility is essential, as workshops may take place across locations including 20-21 Visual Arts Centre, North Lincolnshire Museum, local libraries, or outdoor public spaces. A lunch break will be included, with catering provided.

Applicants should have a background in art and design or equivalent experience, with a track record of delivering workshops for children, young people, and families. Strong communication, organisation, and facilitation skills are essential, alongside the ability to adapt activities for diverse needs. Candidates must demonstrate high standards of customer care, hold relevant insurance, and complete risk assessments. Basic IT, literacy, and numeracy skills required.
