Job Summary
Job Description
Help the Museum Manager and other Assistant Museum Manager to deliver an exceptional visitor experience at Shoemakers Museum across the galleries, ticket office, shop, cafe and events. Managing staff, volunteers, site and events and delivering strategic enhancements that develop and improve our new museum.
This role is part of a job share totalling 42.5 hours a week.
This role is for 17 hours a week across 7-days, £30,000 pro rata based in Street, Somerset.

Shoemakers Museum is a new visitor attraction in Street, Somerset. We care for a collection of over 100,000 items tell the story of two centuries of shoemaking and testifies to the charitable and political interests of the Quaker Family who founded
Clarks Shoes. Shoemakers Museum opened to the public in September 2025 celebrating the rich history and craftmanship of shoemaking in Somerset. We are open 7 days a week 10-5pm
