Job Summary
Job Description
You will lead delivery of The Grange Festival's membership programme, individual giving work, and transactional corporate income streams. Working directly with the Director of Development & Partnerships, you'll execute our membership strategy, manage renewals and upgrades, personally steward mid-level donors through events and one-to-one contact, and deliver programme advertising sales and corporate sponsorship packages.
This is a hands-on role in a small Development team, and you'll work closely with Marketing, Box Office, and Hospitality colleagues. You will personally cultivate donors at events, manage membership data in Spektrix, deliver communication campaigns, coordinate donor benefits, run the annual programme advertising cycle, and steward small corporate sponsors through fulfilment and renewal. You'll have input into how we engage supporters and real responsibility for delivering results, while the Director focuses on major gifts, strategic corporate partnerships, and sets overall fundraising strategy.
Job Requirements
3-5 years' fundraising experience in individual giving, membership, or donor development, with a track record of income growth and donor retention. Confident cultivating new donors and comfortable in event and one-to-one stewardship settings. Strong database and CRM skills with a data-driven approach to campaign planning and segmentation. Excellent written communication, able to craft compelling donor messages, impact stories, and stewardship materials. Comfortable in commercial relationships, cultivating sponsors, advertisers, and corporate partners. Proactive and self-motivated, with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities autonomously. Understanding of UK GDPR and data protection in a fundraising context. Flexibility for regular evenings and weekends during Festival season (May-August). Desirable: arts or heritage fundraising; Spektrix or similar CRM; Gift Aid and Fundraising Regulator knowledge; prospect research; corporate sponsorship.
Job Responsibilities
Lead delivery of The Grange Festival's membership programme (Affiliate to Festival Circle), executing renewal, acquisition, and upgrade campaigns to meet retention and income targets. Personally steward mid-level donors through cultivation events, one-to-one contact, and tailored communications, identifying prospects for major gifts. Manage Spektrix CRM to ensure data integrity, build segmented campaign lists, conduct prospect research, and report on pipeline performance. Plan and deliver cultivation and stewardship events, coordinate donor benefits with Box Office and Hospitality, and manage the VIP experience throughout Festival season. Run the annual programme advertising sales cycle and deliver corporate sponsorship packages, including contracts, benefit fulfilment, and renewals. Support trust and foundation applications through prospect research, impact reporting, and grant calendar management. Ensure GDPR compliance across all donor communications and gift processing.
