Job Summary
Job Description
SkandiHus is looking for an experienced and passionate pottery teacher to join our friendly team. You would need to be available to teach a weekend course, covering hand building and wheel throwing skills across our Walthamstow or De Beauvoir studio.
You will also have the opportunity to teacher one off Taster classes, Private Events and provide cover for teachers when needed.
At SkandiHus we are more than just a pottery studio - we are a space for creativity, healing, and mindfulness. We are looking for someone who shares our ethos and values.
You should be:
- Skilled and confident in teaching wheel throwing and hand building.
- Have a minimum of 2 years teaching experience.
- Patient, kind and approachable with students of all levels.
- Excited to be part of the SkandiHus community and contribute to our mission.
Rate of pay £28 - £32 per hour.
Minimum of 2.5 hours per week with opportunity to increase.

Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years teaching experience.
- Experienced in hand building and wheel throwing.
- Teachers must be highly organised with excellent time management.
Job Responsibilities
- Follow a set course outline for the teaching structure.
- Responsible for opening and locking of studios in line with SkandiHus procedures.

SkandiHus is a small pottery business with studios in Clapton, De Beauvoir and Walthamstow. The studios host taster classes for beginners, private events and 6, 8 and 12-week courses, and are welcoming spaces for potters of all skill levels to come and create.
