Fee: £2000 (£200 per day, 7hr)
Midlands based with some hybrid working
We're looking for someone who can bring practical experience to support:
Evaluations and grant reporting
Project management for touring productions
Building and maintaining partnerships with venues, organisations, and potential collaborators
Financial management
Critical Care is a new play by Stacey Moon-Tracy, developed through extensive PhD research and
creative collaboration with women who worked as Intensive Care Unit nurses during the COVID-19
pandemic. In 2023, the play underwent an Arts Council England-funded R&D phase, supported by Mansfield Palace Theatre. With Arts Council England funding now secured Critical Care is going into production with a mini tour of the East Midlands, confirmed for Mansfield, Derby Theatre and Belgrade Theatre. We are seeking an experienced and passionate theatre producer to help us project manage and shape the next phase of the project.
Job Requirements
Experience: Experience in theatrical production, including working as a producer or project manager
Knowledge: Strong understanding of the theatre industry, including funding mechanisms,
production processes, tour booking, and legal and contractual requirements.
Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Creativity: Ability to think creatively and develop innovative ideas.
Problem-solving: Ability to identify and resolve problems effectively.
Financial Management: Strong financial management skills.
Technical Skills: Understanding of technical aspects of theatre.
Networking Skills: Ability to build and facilitate relationships with key industry contacts.
Live or work in the Midlands.
Job Responsibilities
Tour Booking & Scheduling: Creating and managing detailed touring schedules and coordinating logistics with venues.
Budgeting & Financial Management: Setting, managing, and tracking production budgets, covering travel, accommodation, and set costs.
Contracting & Negotiation: Issuing and negotiating contracts for creative staff, actors, and venue booking agreements.
Logistics & Planning: Overseeing transportation, scheduling, venue technical specifications, and accommodation for the touring company.
Production Liaison: Acting as the main point of contact between the creative team, technical crew, and venue staff.
Marketing Support: Collaborating on marketing and branding strategies for each tour stop, including proofing materials and setting ticket prices.
