We are seeking an outstanding individual to take up the post of Scenic Construction Lecturer.

Job Description

Scenic Construction Lecturer

Guildhall School of Music & Drama

Full Time (35 hours per week), Permanent

Salary Range: £49,140 to £55,000 per annum, including London Weighting (depending on experience)

You will be responsible for teaching Stage and Scenic Construction, involving set building working with a range of materials and processes, the design and construction of scenic items, the use of specialist equipment and technology, and workshop management. You will supervise students undertaking production and project work and overseeing safe working practices. You will have extensive industry experience that demonstrates continued high standing in the profession. You will also contribute to wider teaching, tutoring and assessment activities in the department. You will have experience of working in higher education settings; a good understanding of the needs of students in a complex learning environment; and the ability to represent your discipline in the public domain through professional/industry sector engagement, consultancy, and/or research (which could include R&D in new processes and equipment).
