Community Artist to plan, promote, delivery and evaluate a summer workshop programme for children inspired by the collections on show at Saddleworth Museum and Gallery. The programme will run across 4 weeks during the summer holidays, with a focus on structured, high-quality workshops for children and families.
Programme Structure
4 weeks total delivery weeks beginning: 27 July, 3 August ,10 August, 17 August
Afternoons only
2.5 hour sessions
Split by age group:
Weeks 1-2: Ages 5-7
Weeks 3-4: Ages 8-12
Scope of Work
The artist will:
Develop a clear creative theme rooted in the Museum's collections
Design a progressive programme (sessions can build across the week)
Deliver hands-on, gallery-based workshops
Responsibilities
The artist is responsible for:

Planning and preparation
Delivery of all sessions
Materials and equipment
Set-up and clear-down
Promotion
Supporting Museum staff and volunteers in the promotion of the workshops and recruitment of participants by.
o Supporting pre-event promotion (e.g. teaser content, workshop descriptions)
o Working with the Museum to maximise reach and bookings
Producing regular social media content during the programme (e.g. progress shots, outcomes, behind-the-scenes)
Other
Adhering to safeguarding and H&S requirements

Fee
£10,000 (inclusive of all costs)
Covers: artist fee, prep, materials, travel, and promotional activity
