Job Description
We are recruiting for a confident, creative and engaging person to join us as our full time Marketing Officer. The role leads on the delivery of our Marketing strategy and resources, as set by the Head of Marketing and Audience Development.
We are looking for someone either developing their Marketing skills or they could be more experienced and looking to bring more seasoned experience to support a local charity. You will have a natural flair for communicating to the public and creating eye catching and concise marketing materials, be passionate about the Arts and Theatre and their capacity to positively improve the lives of our community, and great on detail and confident in your abilities to deliver a range of events and projects. Above all, the Marketing Officer needs to be well organised and have the ability to manage a comprehensive annual marketing campaign across all our channels.
Relationship building, particularly for our community facing work, is key to our success. This role will lead on building our presence and messaging about both our ticketed performance on stage and our wider Theatre programmes. How we communicate our marketing messages into the wider world is vital to telling our story and growing our work. Our marketing team are full of character, knowledgeable about the work we host, and deeply rooted in the local community, the team consists of this role, a Head of Marketing and Audience Development (part time) and a Take Part Marketing Officer (part time).
Full time position 35 hours a week.
Salary £23,500 to £25,000 a year dependent on experience.
Job Requirements
The essential requirements of this role can be summarised as;
- Professional marketing experience (minimum 1-2 years)
- Experience of managing and using a CRM system
- Experience of running social media campaigns for an organisation
- Computer literacy (Microsoft) Experience of budget input and management
- Strong level of personal organisation
- A passion and working knowledge of the arts Initiative, drive and an eye for detail
- Good communication skills, in particular in written form
Job Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role can be broadly summarised as;
- Lead on the implementation and co-ordinating of all marketing and PR activity in the Marketing plan, including; social media, paid digital advertising, in-house promotion material, press, visiting companies marketing input, and related administration.
- Support the development of marketing and audience recruiting strategies and plans through personal input and work to monitor and evaluate marketing activity.
