Job Description

As Creative Industries Development Manager, you will lead Salford's Film & TV Office while playing a wider role in shaping the growth of the city's creative industries. You'll be responsible for managing filming activity across Salford, supporting productions from enquiry through to delivery, and promoting the city as an attractive, film friendly destination. Alongside this, you'll work with partners across Greater Manchester and beyond to support sector development, investment, talent pathways and innovation, helping to strengthen Salford's position as a leading creative city.

Job Requirements

You'll bring proven experience in creative or cultural industries development, with a strong understanding of the UK film, TV and wider creative economy. You'll be confident working with industry partners and stakeholders, able to manage multiple projects and priorities, and comfortable acting as a visible and trusted point of contact for productions and partners. Strong communication, organisation and problemsolving skills are essential, alongside the ability to analyse impact and use insight to inform strategic decisions.

Job Responsibilities

Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, social media platforms, and other office software.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Experience
Proven experience in culture/creative industries development, ideally within a public sector or cultural organisation.
Strong understanding of the UK creative economy, including film, TV, and digital media.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and partnership-building skills.
Project management experience, including budget oversight.
Knowledge of location services and filming regulations preferred but not essential.
