ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are looking for a Wales based researcher to support the Research and Development of this exciting new project. This includes:

Researching for and developing Research Briefs on what makes a successful YouTube strategy, including:

Collating data from successful YouTube channels to understand their strategies

Sharing key insights YouTube Creators Channel

Identifying the ideal length of videos and how YouTube Shorts can work to promote longer content

Understanding the benefits and use of Co-publishing

How to best use Chapter Markers

Best practice for when to insert adverts in a video

What makes an effective playlist

What is the optimum schedule and consistency for posting content

Identifying successful trends in packaging, e.g. thumbnails, titling, hashtags etc.

Arranging and undertaking research calls with YouTube Consultants and experts

Preparing Focus Groups and/or Surveys to stress-test a Hero Episode format, its packaging and an accompanying taster tape

Creating a Digital Strategy document with the findings from all the research

Supporting the Development Team in the pre-production of the taster tape and any other deliverable materials

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

This is a remote role, so an ability to work independently is essential

A keen interest in YouTube/digital-first content

Interest in researching trends, data and metrics

Confident arranging and leading research calls

Confident creating Research Briefs

Strong organisational and writing skills

Enjoys working collaboratively to develop ideas

PAY: £13/hour
HOURS: 35 hours/week
LOCATION: Must be based in Wales
DURATION: 26th May - 19th June 2026
