Job Description

To be responsible for the day-to-day operational and house management of The Courtyard Trust as the primary performing arts provider in Herefordshire.

Maintain the smooth running of all aspects of House Management of The Courtyard, and the health and safety of all patrons and the staff within the venue.

Operate as Event Control Manager for The Courtyard's new high-voltage summer venue, The Amp.

To pro-actively cultivate and develop commercial opportunities to increase front of house and hire income.

To be responsible for the Deputy House Manager and other staff and volunteers that may from time to time be engaged and organise the scheduling of their duties efficiently within the budgetary constraints.

To lead on all front-of-house aspects of the organisation's work and assist the Head of Operations concerning the management of facilities.

Job Requirements

We are looking for someone with strong organisational, operational, and administrative skills together with a practical 'can do' approach. Our ideal candidate is someone who loves meeting members of the public, is an excellent problem solver and who can keep calm and carry on in a fast-paced working environment.

We need someone who can start as soon as possible after the interview (22 May) and who work 37.5 hours over five 7.5-hour shifts per week, including regular evening and weekend work.

Job Responsibilities

The House Manager acts as leader of our team of duty managers, ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service, accessibility and standards of venue presentation, as well as responsibility for the security of the building and the welfare of customers and staff.
