Job Description
You will develop programme content across festivals and public events, identify, book and manage artists, performers and contributors, and shape programme structure to suit audience, place and objectives. You will build relationships with artists, community groups and partners, ensure programmes are deliverable within budget and operational constraints, and contribute to commercial performance through programme design. You will also work closely with production to ensure programmes are viable and deliverable, and support how programmes are presented to audiences and positioned publicly.
Job Requirements
We are looking for someone who has experience programming events, festivals or cultural activity and understands how to build a programme that works for an audience. We are looking for someone who can manage artists and contributors confidently and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, delivery-led environment. The role requires having balance creative ambition with practical constraints and having strong organisational and communication skills. The role requires understanding of public-facing cultural delivery.
Job Responsibilities
This is not a purely creative role.
You must be able to:
Turn ideas into structured, deliverable programmes, work within budgets and timelines and contribute to commercial outcomes. You must also be able to operate within a team delivering live events.
This role includes involvement in the delivery of live programmes, including on-site coordination of programme elements and working alongside production, marketing and delivery teams to ensure successful execution.
