Job Summary
Job Description
At Curve, we're looking for a hands-on Housekeeping Supervisor to help us deliver a welcoming, safe and high-quality environment for everyone who visits and works in our building.
This is a key frontline role within our Visitor Experience team. You'll lead the Housekeeping team on shift, ensuring consistently high standards across all public, backstage and operational spaces, while working closely with colleagues across the organisation to respond to the demands of a busy producing theatre.
As Housekeeping Supervisor, you will:
- Take the lead on shift, coordinating and supporting Housekeeping Operatives
- Work alongside your team to deliver high-quality cleaning across the building
- Maintain excellent standards in all areas, from front of house to backstage spaces
- Respond quickly and effectively to incidents, changing priorities and operational needs
- Support a positive team culture through clear communication and on-the-ground leadership
You'll play a visible role in the building, helping to ensure that every visitor experiences Curve at its best.
You'll bring:
- Experience in a housekeeping or cleaning environment
- Confidence supervising or leading a team
- A strong understanding of cleaning standards and safe working practices (including COSHH)
- The ability to prioritise, adapt and stay calm in a fast-paced environment
- A positive, practical approach with strong attention to detail
Experience in a theatre or large public venue would be an advantage but is not essential.
We are an inclusive organisation, from our trustees and team members to our audience and participants. We treat all job applicants equally, regardless of class, age, disability, gender identity or gender expression, race, ethnicity, religion or belief, sexual orientation or any other equality characteristic. We particularly encourage applications from individuals who are underrepresented in the cultural sector.
