Job Description
In autumn 2026, Northern Roots will open a beautiful new Welcome Building, Forestry Skills Centre, play area, outdoor amphitheatre and an additional four acres of Urban Farm, the next phase in creating a unique visitor attraction and community asset.
We're seeking a highly creative, collaborative individual with a track record in producing events to produce our opening welcome event later this summer.
Following the opening, you will lead on the programming and delivery of an ongoing programme of events, workshops and activities. Working closely with colleagues, partners, artists, onsite businesses and communities you will produce a dynamic and inclusive visitor offer that delights audiences, visitors and local communities and drives footfall to the site.
As the Event Producer you will hold the overview of the visitor offer onsite as Northern Roots transitions from project to visitor destination.
You'll have brilliant ideas, an understanding of audiences, excellent production, organisational and interpersonal skills, and be inspired by the opportunity to shape a visitor offer that is unique to Northern Roots.
Salary: £32,000 per annum, pro rata 4 days per week, 7.5 hours per day
Contract: 12-month fixed term, June 2026 to June 2027. Regular weekend working will be required once Northern Roots transitions to a seven-day work pattern from August 2026.
