Join us as an entry-level Arts Administrator, supporting our Learning and Emerging Professional departments. This role offers the chance to develop new skills in a supportive environment, contributing to a music education charity dedicated to British jazz and music education. You'll assist with database management, travel coordination, and project support, while helping to streamline our music library and evaluate projects. Full training is provided-we're looking for someone passionate about music, eager to learn, and ready to grow with us.
Job Requirements
We seek someone with a love of music, strong communication skills, and a proactive, adaptable approach. Experience with Microsoft Office and IT literacy is essential. You'll be office-based in Woolwich, working 2 days per week (Tuesday-Thursday), with excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work to tight deadlines in a small, energetic team.
Job Responsibilities
Manage and update databases, including Under 18s and Emerging Professional registers and mailing lists. Book and coordinate travel and accommodation for projects, and liaise with the delivery team to keep calendars up to date with rehearsals, gigs, and project dates. Produce the bi-monthly Emerging Professional newsletter to engage musicians. Print and collate music for rehearsals and gigs, organise departmental files on SharePoint, and digitise paper music to streamline the library. Collect and collate project photos, create pre- and post-project surveys, log monitoring/evaluation data, and send out monitoring forms to partners. Assist with Under 18s and Emerging Professional delivery, including pastoral support on gig days and helping during rehearsals. Undertake additional tasks as required.
