Job Description
We're looking for a motivated Volunteer & Engagement Coordinator to help grow Arc's profile, expand our reach, and create meaningful opportunities for volunteers across our services.
Arc is one of the UK's leading arts and mental health charities. From our base in the Hat Works building in Stockport town centre, Arc's creative programmes provide life-changing opportunities for people experiencing mental health challenges and inclusive, welcoming spaces where they can develop a sense of belonging, reducing feelings of isolation and loneliness.
Following our incredible volunteers winning the King's Award for Voluntary Service 2025, this is an exciting time to join our small, dedicated team and play a part in making a real difference to people's lives and Arc's legacy. We're looking for someone with hands on experience of building strong relationships with local communities, partners and stakeholders and who can raise awareness of Arc's work and increase our visibility.

This role is a permanent contract for 25 hours part time, to be worked over 3 - 4 days. (full time is 37.5 hours)
Core hours are : Thursdays and Fridays 9.30 - 5.30 in the Arc Centre, plus the remaining hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Recruit and develop Arc's volunteer team and support them to help deliver Arc's projects and activities at the Arc Centre at Hat Works and partners venues.
Ensure volunteers are appropriately trained and managed and that volunteer systems are fully compliant with good volunteer practices and health and safety.
Develop and maintain relationships with a range of external stakeholders, through networking and organising events that raise the profile of and/or funds for Arc.
Contribute to Arc's programme of public creative classes, which could include scheduling workshops, building relationships with facilitators or collecting and analysing participant feedback.
