Job Summary
Job Description
Write, commission & edit content for the RP website.
Take ownership of RP social media platforms, employing a pro-active data-driven approach to producing and scheduling posts.
Coordinate promotion for the Annual Exhibition, including all lead-up and on-site activity.
Produce and distribute the monthly newsletter.
Promote and coordinate additional open calls, including the Writing & Drawing Prizes.
Coordinate meetings and related communications.
Support the President and members with ongoing promotional and exhibition-related content.
Monitor website performance and audience growth using GA4 analytics.
Maintain and update YouTube content.
Conduct interviews with exhibitors and prize winners, both online and in person.
Maintain spreadsheets and databases for members, open calls, and related administration.
Report on campaigns and channels on a monthly basis, using relevant analytics tools.
Liaise with the FBA especially with regards to digital marketing and other external agencies when relevant e.g. press consultant to create content - digital, video and print.
Sharing recommendations for improvement across all digital channels and staying up to date with the latest digital trends - through webinars, seminars and networking events.
Create targeted communications.
Generally provide a welcoming first encounter for all interested parties.
The salary for this post will be between £26,000-32,000, pro rata (40% i.e. 2 days per week or equivalent). In addition, the post holder will receive 23 days pro rata paid annual leave plus three days between Christmas and New Year, plus a 3% contribution to a personal pension scheme.
Job Requirements
We are looking for someone who can work both independently and collaboratively to create inclusive content and events.
The person appointed will have a good working knowledge of social media platforms, particularly Instagram. and familiarity with WordPress.
The role requires excellent language and communication skills as well as good project management skills and the ability to manage several different projects at once.
An interest in contemporary figurative art is desirable but not essential.
Job Responsibilities
The person appointed will be responsible for raising the profile of the organisation, developing partnerships and opportunities, increasing participation and income generation, keeping the website up to date with relevant with fresh content and managing our social media presence.
The person appointed will also arrange meetings as. requested and keep minutes and generally provide the necessary organisational support for the smooth running of the society.
