Job Summary
Job Description
Eternal Series was founded in 2024 by Sasha Elina to showcase experimental and contemporary classical music in London, presenting work that requires a more considered approach to programming and presentation than is typically available in existing spaces. Since then, the project has organised eleven concerts across London, commissioned new work, supported UK and international artists, and is continuing to build a dedicated audience for avant-garde music practices.
In 2026, Eternal Series is establishing a Community Interest Company (Limited by Guarantee) to support the sustainable development of the programme, create a structure capable of accessing public funding, and ensure that participating artists are supported consistently and fairly.
Establishing a Community Interest Company will help the project to:
Access public funding
Enter into contracts and manage finances with appropriate accountability
Support participating artists more consistently and fairly
Build long-term partnerships
Non-Executive Directors will form a board alongside the founding Artistic Director who holds executive responsibility for the programme and day-to-day operations of Eternal Series CIC. Non-Executive Directors are not involved in the operational running of the organisation. Their role is to provide independent strategic guidance, governance oversight, and financial review - supporting and, where necessary, challenging the Artistic Director in the best interests of the organisation and its community interest mission.
A formal Letter of Appointment setting out the full terms will be provided to all appointed directors.
Job Requirements
Time Commitment
The board will meet four times per year. Meetings will be held online as standard. They may take place in person if all board members are in agreement.
In addition to board meetings, Non-Executive Directors are expected to attend at least two Eternal Series events per year.
Estimated total commitment: one to two days per quarter, including time for reading and preparing for board meetings, and occasional ad hoc correspondence between meetings.
The initial term of appointment is two years. The appointment may be renewed by mutual agreement, subject to a review of the board's needs at that time.
Person Specification
Experience in a governance, board or senior leadership role within an arts, music or cultural organisation
Understanding of, or willingness to develop familiarity with, the legal duties of a CIC Director
Integrity and impartial judgement
Genuine interest in and commitment to contemporary music and arts
