Job Summary

We are looking for a Production Sound Engineer to join the team for Surinderella. This is an exciting opportunity to take part in a desi-twist on the classic Cinderella story.

Job Description

Working closely with the Sound Designer, Sound No 1 and the wider production team, you will be responsible for the technical realisation of the sound design, managing the touring sound system, fit ups on tours and some get outs and maintaining audio quality to the highest standard across all venues.

Job Requirements

Essentials:
Proven experience as a Production Sound Engineer or equivalent on professional touring theatre productions
In-depth knowledge of large format digital audio consoles (e.g. DiGiCo, Yamaha, Avid)
Proficiency with QLab playback software
Strong knowledge of RF systems and radio microphone management in live performance environments
Experience of PA system design, deployment and system tuning
Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
Ability to work flexibly, independently and under pressure

Desired Skills:
Experience on touring musical theatre productions
Experience working to Equity/UK Theatre agreements
Full UK driving licence

Job Responsibilities

Specifying, procuring and managing all sound equipment for the tour in liaison with the Production Manager, including PA systems, radio microphone systems, IEM systems, monitor systems and playback
Designing and implementing the sound system at each venue, including system tuning and EQ, to ensure a consistent audio experience throughout the tour
Programming and maintaining the QLab show file and all associated audio content
Managing RF (radio frequency) coordination across all touring venues, ensuring licence compliance and minimising interference
Undertaking advance technical liaison with each venue, reviewing
technical specifications and coordinating all sound requirements ahead of get-in
Supervising the sound department during get-ins, technical rehearsals and get-outs
Managing and maintaining all sound equipment throughout the tour, including regular checks and a spares inventory
Troubleshooting technical audio issues throughout the tour promptly and effectively
