The Subject Tutor will play a key role in the delivery, development and enhancement of West Dean College's specialist design programmes. Working closely with the Programme Leader and academic colleagues, the post holder will contribute to the planning and delivery of an innovative, industry-informed curriculum, supporting students to develop the creative, technical and professional skills needed for successful careers in design.

The role includes teaching, assessment, academic tutoring and student support, ensuring a high-quality and inclusive learning experience. The successful candidate will provide constructive feedback, contribute to curriculum development, participate in quality assurance activities, and maintain strong links with industry and professional networks to ensure teaching remains current and relevant.

The post holder will also support student recruitment and engagement activities, including Open Days, applicant interviews and portfolio reviews, helping to attract and retain talented students. Working collaboratively across academic, technical and student support teams, they will contribute to programme enhancement, annual monitoring, and the wider academic life of the College.

As an active member of the West Dean community, the Subject Tutor will be expected to maintain professional practice and continuing professional development, contributing to the College's reputation for excellence in creative education.
