Job Summary

London Craft Week is seeking a new Managing Director to lead the festival and deliver the new three year strategy. This role offers great scope for an entrepreneurial individual to shape London Craft Week and further grow its reputation as the world’s leading festival for outstanding craftsmanship.

Job Description

Strategy:
- Lead development and delivery of three-year plan and annual festival.
- Produce planning and evaluation materials, financial plans, and monthly progress reports for the Chairman.

Leadership & Management:
- Provide day-to-day team leadership, manage performance, and set KPIs.
- Act as primary external spokesperson during the festival and year-round.

Income Generation:
- Secure new sponsors and manage existing relationships.
- Build new revenue streams and strategic partnerships to boost financial position.
- Set and oversee team revenue targets (programme partners, International Pavilions, advertising, tickets).
- Develop sales plans and manage international partner networks.

Finance:
- Oversee financial and operational management, budgets, banking, and accounting firm.
- Manage P&L and cash flow (invoicing, reconciliation, monthly payroll transfers).

Operations:
- Manage hybrid working and own the tech stack, including external web agency management.

Marketing & Communications:
- Oversee marketing and PR strategies to enhance LCW's profile.
- Recruit marketing staff; appoint and manage PR agency and media partnerships.
- Manage suppliers for design, web development, logistics, and research.
- Deliver brand identity, print collateral, ads, web templates, sales packs, and signage.
- Manage visitor and partner surveys; develop the three-year VIP strategy.

Governance:
- Ensure statutory compliance: HMRC (VAT, Corporation Tax), Companies House (accounts, filings), GDPR, Health & Safety, and Employment.

Job Responsibilities
