Job Description
As a Podcast Studio Engineer Placement participant, you will support the day-to-day running of Voices Radio's podcast and content studio. Working alongside experienced engineers and producers, you will gain practical experience across recording, studio operations, technical support, audio editing, and content production.
This placement offers a valuable opportunity to develop industry-relevant skills while contributing to both original Voices Radio productions and external client projects.
The role is for 200 hours at 14.80 an hour (London Living Wage)
Ideal start date is August, 2026

Job Requirements
An interest in podcasting, audio production, radio, audio engineering, or videography.
Enthusiasm for learning new technical skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Reliability and a proactive approach to work.
Ability to follow instructions and work in a professional studio environment.
Previous experience is not required, but any experience with audio, video, podcasting, broadcasting, or content creation would be beneficial.
Job Responsibilities
Assist with podcast and radio recording sessions.
Set up and maintain studio equipment, including audio equipment, microphones, cameras, lighting, and video equipment.
Support engineers and producers during client bookings and recording sessions.
Learn audio recording, mixing, editing, and production workflows.
Help prepare content for broadcast, social media, and client delivery.
Support the organisation and maintenance of studio spaces and equipment.
Assist with basic technical troubleshooting and studio operations as required.
