We're looking for an enthusiastic and inclusive music leader to lead our Folk Band as part of Make Music Adults at The Glasshouse International Centre for Music.
This welcoming group offers adults the opportunity to learn traditional and contemporary folk tunes, develop arrangement skills and enjoy making music together in a relaxed and supportive environment. Open to a range of acoustic instruments including guitar, fiddle, mandolin, melodeon, accordion, flute and whistle, the group is suitable for musicians who are beyond beginner level and keen to continue their musical journey.
You'll lead weekly sessions on Thursdays from 8 - 9.30pm during term time, helping participants build confidence, develop their musicianship and connect with others through folk music. Working as part of our wider Make Music team, you'll contribute to session planning, artistic development and the continued success of our folk pathway.
We're looking for someone with professional performance or band-leading experience, a passion for folk music and a commitment to inclusive music-making.
