Job Requirements
Applicants should have experience delivering venue operations and event management services in a public-facing environment, with strong customer service, organisational and coordination skills. They must be able to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, and maintain a sufficient on-site presence in Winchcombe throughout the contract.
Desirable experience includes working in arts, cultural or community venues, supporting or coordinating volunteers, and familiarity with health and safety requirements in public venues. The successful contractor will be proactive, solution-focused, calm under pressure, and committed to high standards of safety, presentation and visitor care. They should be friendly, approachable and confident when engaging with the public, while working collaboratively and respectfully within a volunteer-led environment. Strong attention to detail, reliability and good communication skills are essential.
Job Responsibilities
The contractor will ensure the smooth, safe and professional operation of Isbourne Arts. Responsibilities include coordinating event logistics, venue readiness, front-of-house arrangements and post-event follow-up; liaising with artists, hirers, contractors and suppliers; resolving operational issues; and providing on-site support for agreed events.
They will help maintain a high-quality visitor experience by monitoring presentation, signage, cleanliness, accessibility and customer flow, and responding to visitor enquiries and feedback.
The role includes coordinating the Operations Group, supporting volunteer deployment, providing briefings and guidance, identifying resourcing needs, and fostering a positive volunteer environment.
They will also oversee venue readiness by coordinating preparations, liaising with cleaning, facilities and technical providers, monitoring standards, coordinating routine maintenance, and supporting health and safety compliance.
