Job Summary

The Wordsworth Trust is seeking the services of an audio-visual production company, ideally with specialist experience of creating digital content for museums and heritage organisations. We are now seeking to create a film that can highlight our Museum and internationally-significant collection.

Job Description

An introductory film was added to the Wordsworth Grasmere visitor experience in 2020. It has transformed how we interpret Dove Cottage and deepened visitors' engagement with one of the world's most famous literary shrines. Feedback is overwhelmingly positive.

We now seek to build on this success by creating a film that can provide a similar depth of engagement with our Museum and internationally-significant collection, which currently experience a lower level of public awareness than Dove Cottage, but which offer rich opportunities for engagement, connection and storytelling for a range of audiences. The creation of this new interpretative film has been supported by Art Fund's Reimagine programme.

The film will use contemporary voices who reflect the Wordsworth Trust's audience development priorities. People featured in the film will use objects in the collection to highlight the meaning, significance and relevance of the Wordsworths' lives, ideas and works today. Assets will be supplied by the Wordsworth Trust and selected in consultation with an advisory group representative of our target audiences, and specialist advisors.
