Job Description
As a Visitor Experience Assistant at Twist Museum, you will play a key role in creating memorable, engaging and educational experiences for our visitors. As the public face of the museum, you will welcome guests, help them explore our exhibits, explain the science and psychology behind our illusions, and ensure every visitor receives exceptional customer service.
This is a varied and hands-on role that combines visitor engagement, admissions, retail, operational support, safety, and event delivery. You will work across different areas of the museum, helping to maintain a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment while supporting the day-to-day operation of one of London's most unique attractions.
We're looking for enthusiastic individuals who enjoy interacting with people, are passionate about creating great experiences, and are excited by the opportunity to work in an immersive environment that combines learning, creativity and entertainment.
No two days are the same at Twist Museum. Whether you're assisting families, school groups, tourists, workshop participants or event guests, you'll help bring our mission to life by inspiring curiosity and encouraging visitors to see the world differently.
We are currently recruiting for positions on both 12-hour and 30-hour per week contracts. The rate of pay is £13.00 per hour.
Job Requirements

* Ability to engage confidently with visitors of all ages and backgrounds.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Good attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and bank holidays.
* Ability to follow policies, procedures and safety requirements.
* Previous customer-facing experience in retail, hospitality, leisure, cultural attractions or similar environments is desirable but not essential.
* Eligible to work in the UK.
* Subject to satisfactory Enhanced DBS clearance where required.
Job Responsibilities
* Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the visitor journey.
* Welcome visitors and provide information about exhibits, services and facilities.
* Engage guests with exhibits and support learning and exploration.
* Respond confidently to visitor enquiries, feedback and accessibility requirements.
* Assist with visitor flow and queue management.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and visitor experience.
* Support the safety and security of visitors, colleagues and the museum.
* Follow emergency procedures and assist during evacuations when required.
* Promote retail and food & beverage products through recommendations and product knowledge.
* Process admissions and retail transactions using the EPOS system.
* Assist with stock management and merchandising.
* Encourage guests to share feedback and reviews.
* Support workshops, tours, school visits, events and special functions.
