Job Description
Grooveschool is looking for a committed and proactive Fundraising & Development Trustee to join our board during an exciting period of growth and development.
This voluntary trustee role will help strengthen the charity's approach to fundraising, income generation, sponsorship and partnership development as we continue expanding our creative education and mentoring programmes.
We are particularly interested in individuals who are passionate about supporting young people through creativity, music and community-based work and who can help us identify opportunities, build relationships and support sustainable growth.
The successful candidate will work alongside existing trustees and the founder to help develop fundraising strategies, strengthen external relationships and support the long-term sustainability of the organisation.
This voluntary trustee role will support the strategic development of the charity and is not a day-to-day operational position.
The role requires approximately 4-8 hours per month, including trustee meetings and occasional support between meetings.
Previous trustee experience is welcomed but not essential.
Job Requirements

Experience in one or more of the following areas would be beneficial:
- Fundraising
- Sponsorship

- Communications
- Charity leadership
Previous trustee experience is welcomed but not essential.

Job Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Contributing to trustee meetings and strategic discussions
- Supporting fundraising and income generation activities
- Helping identify funding, sponsorship and partnership opportunities
- Supporting relationship building with funders and partners
- Acting in the best interests of the charity and its beneficiaries
- Helping support the long-term sustainability of the organisation
Trustees are expected to attend board meetings and contribute to strategic discussions throughout the year.
