Job Summary
Job Description
North Somerset Creative People and Places (CPP) is a bold, ambitious cultural programme funded by Arts Council England from 2026 - 2029. It is part of a national network of CPP programmes working in places where people have historically had fewer opportunities to shape, experience and influence arts and
culture.
North Somerset CPP is looking for an imaginative, ambitious and collaborative Creative Director & Programme Lead to help shape a bold new chapter for culture across North Somerset.
This is an opportunity to work with artists, communities, partners and local people to create inspiring cultural experiences, commission exciting new work and support creativity to flourish in every corner of the district.
From the coast to the countryside, North Somerset is full of stories, talent, character and possibility. We want culture to be visible, celebrated and woven into everyday life, creating opportunities for people to come together, share experiences and shape the future of their place.
As Creative Director & Programme Lead, you'll help bring this vision to life. You'll work alongside artists, cultural organisations, community partners and a Citizens' Panel to develop an ambitious programme of events, commissions, residencies, creative projects and cultural experiences that reflect the energy, imagination and diversity of North Somerset.
We are looking for someone who combines artistic vision with strong leadership, who is excited by collaboration, curious about people, and confident in turning ideas into action.
