Job Description
As Youth & Outreach Manager, you will be responsible for creating, managing, and delivering a dynamic programme of activities that engage young people and communities across Maidstone and the surrounding area.
You will build strong relationships with schools, community groups, local organisations, and participants, ensuring that the Hazlitt Theatre remains at the heart of cultural and creative activity within the borough.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced arts educator, youth engagement professional, or community arts practitioner who is passionate about using the arts to inspire, educate, and connect people.
Job Requirements
Leading delivery of HI Youth Theatre including designing and delivering sessions, co-ordinating all administration and assistant personnel as required to support it and arranging all evaluation materials for it as required.
Setting up and maintaining efficient systems to support all administration, including registration, data handling including personal information and all evaluation data required.
Offering support to Assistants and any freelance facilitators as appropriate, including with design and delivery of programme
Acting as 'cover' delivery, arranging 'cover' delivery or ensuring cancellation procedures are efficiently rolled out in the event of other Lead Facilitators or freelance facilitators being unavailable for work.
Working closely with the Dance and Production Coordinator to schedule all Hazlitt Institute sessions and ensure organisational calendars are kept updated with all HI youth theatre events.

Job Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing all classes that the Hazlitt Institute delivers and making sure that they are all staffed - this includes Youth Theatre, Dance, Strictly Accessible, Musical Theatre and Choir
Leading on all of the Outreach work including meeting key performance indicators
Head up and work on an Access and Diversity Programme across the building.
Set up and oversee an apprenticeship program beginning in September.
