This is a unique opportunity to lead the development of the Market Hall project at the very beginning of its operations, and we are looking for someone who can think commercially at the same time as engaging with and serving the diverse community of Milton Keynes.

The General Manager role is broad. It combines running Market Hall day-to-day, with developing the organisational culture and people resources needed to make the venue a good place to work. In addition, this role will involve leading the delivery of work placements for young people at the building, liaising with local education authorities and other funders, and ensuring the young people develop the confidence and skills they need to contribute to the business.

We are looking for a hands-on manager with a can-do attitude who leads by example; someone with a passion for the arts, who is naturally self-motivated and able to inspire and motivate others.

Candidates should have excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise diverse and competing tasks. A calm approach in a busy customer facing environment is essential.

Candidates should also have leadership skills, and some experience of working in an arts and cultural organisation.

This role is being recruited during a transitionary phase for Future Wolverton, and further roles will be recruited as the business develops.
