Job Summary
Job Description
To liaise effectively with colleagues across key BFI departments such as Funds, OPPs and Statistical teams to request and review data and reports held in databases and formats such as Excel. This includes working with teams as an internal stakeholder, advocating for robust monitoring and evaluation approaches and ensuring outputs are fed into business decisions.
Undertake multiple M&E priorities at once, including reviewing complex data sets, advising on survey design and providing summary reports and dashboards to inform decision making.
To identify and implement improvements to relevant systems and data collection, analysis and reporting processes.
To collaborate with key teams such as People and Culture to devise appropriate training and 'how to' resources for staff as well as deliver training sessions on monitoring-related topics to colleagues.
To collaborate with key teams to ensure coherence and alignment of data collection, analysis, and monitoring and evaluation approaches such as KPI reporting.
To assist the Senior Evaluation Manager in procurement of evaluation suppliers, including Invitations to Tender, Requests for Proposals and issuing contracts, liaising with the People and Procurement teams to ensure all procedures are followed.
To assist the Senior Evaluation Manager with formal evaluation commissions.
To be responsible for discreet evaluation projects such as light touch or rapid reviews.
To work on other ad hoc evaluation projects where needed within the organisation.
To order and maintain M&E digital files and folders.
To ensure all M&E activities meet statutory requirements in relation to the Data Protection Act 2018 and, in liaison with colleagues, provide all necessary documentation for all Freedom of Information requests.
Job Requirements
Demonstrable experience of working in a monitoring and evaluation or research role in a busy team
An active interest in monitoring and evaluation approaches
Experience in using PowerPoint and Power BI to chart data, prepare and present accurate, clear, accessible and engaging presentations and dashboards.
Experience of survey design and analysis software.
Experience using spreadsheets and data tools to analyse, manage and present information to support decision-making
Experience working with a range of stakeholders and building effective relationships to support delivery or improvement of work
Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering work independently to deadlines
