Job Description
LUX is seeking a highly organised and proactive Collection Manager to play a key role at the heart of our organisation, developing and implementing strategic approaches to collection care. This role is integral to providing access to LUX's significant holdings of artists' moving image, ensuring that LUX remains a welcoming, functional, and inclusive space for audiences, artists, supporters, and team members.
You will be responsible for overseeing the care, management, and preservation of the LUX collection which includes analogue film, video, and digital artworks. Working with artists and their representatives, the role encompasses overseeing the ingest, encoding, and cataloguing of materials, as well as developing proactive strategies for digitisation, restoration, and long-term preservation. You will work in close collaboration with colleagues across distribution and technical roles to foster alignment, support strategic decision-making and ensure best practice in both collection care and access.
