Contract type: Freelance
Hours: approx. 25 days
Fee: £5,000, plus marketing budget and travel expenses within Liverpool City Region
Location: Remote working; the role will require regularly attending events in Liverpool City Region throughout the contract
Expected start date: August 2026
Role Purpose
To work with the Collective Encounters team and project partners to plan, produce and distribute relevant and accessible marketing material to engage target audiences in the Creative Health programme.
Duties
Work with the Executive Director to develop a marketing strategy for the programme
Create high quality print and digital marketing assets to promote agreed elements of the programme, using Collective Encounters brand guidelines
Work with the artistic team to write engaging and accessible event copy
Co-manage Collective Encounters' social media channels (including Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn), creating and sharing relevant content throughout the course of the project
Work with the team to keep the Collective Encounters website up to date
Document workshops, performances and events via video and/or photography and produce and share engaging social media content
Collate and print event programmes and other visual resources
Respond to trends and emerging opportunities to promote the programme both online and in person
Support the writing and distribution of press releases
Support the distribution of marketing materials both online and offline
Attend marketing meetings at key points throughout the programme
Provide shadowing opportunities for the Digital Marketing Placement Student
Job Requirements
Essential
Experience creating social media content for arts or health projects
Excellent graphic design skills, with an understanding of how to create accessible design for targeted audiences
Excellent video production and editing skills, especially for social media reels
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write engaging and accessible copy
Understanding of why it is important to share untold stories and to engage underrepresented communities in steering health policy Understanding of the programme themes, particularly women's health
Familiarity with the arts, health and community sector in Liverpool, including knowledge of the networks where opportunities/events can be promoted
Working knowledge of accessibility in both print and online communications
