Job Description
This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of a thriving multi-venue charity encompassing theatres, live entertainment venues, cinema, museum and gallery spaces, serving more than 340,000 visitors each year. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, champion cultural ambition and help deliver an inspiring, relevant and financially sustainable programme, while nurturing a positive organisational culture and strengthening WTM's civic and cultural impact.
Job Requirements
Demonstrable experience in senior leadership roles in cultural, creative, visitor attraction, venue, festival, arts, heritage, civic or comparable public-facing organisations.
Experience of venue management in a leadership capacity.
Experience of leading organisations or significant departments through change, growth, transition or turnaround.
Strong financial literacy, including experience of budgets, income targets, cost control and business planning.
Experience of developing or overseeing audience-facing programmes, events, venues, cultural activity or public engagement.
Job Responsibilities
The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the overall leadership, strategy, public profile and organisational performance of Worthing Theatres & Museum.
Working with the Board of Trustees, Executive Director, Senior Management Team, staff, volunteers and partners, the CEO will set the vision and direction for WTM and ensure the organisation delivers cultural, commercial, civic and charitable impact.
