Job Summary

We are looking for actors and performers to be involved in original content created by young people as part of upcoming Touchstones projects. This is an open call to register your interest in being part of our creative work with young people in Rochdale and surrounding boroughs.

Job Description

Touchstones Rochdale are looking for actors and performers to take part in the production of original content created by young people as part of upcoming Touchstones projects, including starring in a short film being produced in October and November 2025.

Actors in our open call will be considered for roles in a brand new original short film, written, directed, produced, and crewed by young people from Rochdale.

What We Offer:

- Competitive daily rates (minimum 3 filming days at £100/day and additional day for rehearsal/pre-production - the final requirements are dependent on project requirements and will be discussed during onboarding to the project. Daily hours will be set at 10am-4pm with possible shifting based on shooting needs),
- Professional development and networking opportunities.

Job Requirements

To join us as a performer for this opportunity, you must:
- Be aged 18 or over,
- Hold demonstrable acting credits (stage, screen, or digital),
- Be able to travel to Rochdale and other local venues as required,
- Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and a collaborative approach,
- Show a strong commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion,
- Be open to working with inexperienced writers and emerging creative teams.

Job Responsibilities

As a participating actor, you will be required to:
- Perform in filmed productions based on scripts and concepts created by young people,
- Attend script readings, rehearsals, and preproduction days, as required and specified upon onboarding,
- Collaborate with young writers, directors, and creative teams in a supportive, inclusive environment,
- Provide professional interpretation of new writing, bringing young people's creative visions to life.
