Job Summary

Melting Pot are looking for a Stage Manager, for the UK Tour of Paranormal Activity, opening at Richmond Theatre the w/c 31st August 2026, followed by a UK Tour.

Job Description

The purpose of the Stage Manager is to run rehearsals and the technical elements of the show, including full management of the touring stage management and technical teams and local crew well as assist and deputise for the Company Stage Manager as necessary.

Schedule:
Rehearsals (London) from w/c Monday 3rd August 2026
Fit-up from w/c Monday 31st August 2026
Technical rehearsals from Wednesday 2nd September 2026
First preview - Monday 7th September 2026
End of contract - end of June 2027

Job Requirements

Person Specification:
Proven experience as a Stage Manager working on a similar scale production is required.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Someone with the ability to work well on their own and as part of a team.
The ability to remain calm under pressure, with a flexible and proactive attitude and an understanding of what is required to maintain a consistent high production standard.
A commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
A full awareness of the need for integrity and confidentiality.

Job Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities include:
1. Lead the Stage Management team to ensure that the production is executed successfully throughout the tour.
2. Run a show deck plot.
3. Maintain a good working relationship with the Stage Management and, technical teams as well as performing company, ensuring that they understand the work which is required of them and meet the necessary working rules, time keeping and disciplinary standards.
4. Control the running of all performances, ensuring that the agreed and established artistic and technical standards are maintained at all time.
5. Work well under pressure, with strict time frames and pressures and make sound judgments on the show running and health and safety.
6. Overseeing line management of the Stage Management team with the Company Manager and scheduling their hours.
