Job Summary
Job Description
Selected artists will be paired and work together to plan and deliver creative workshops at one arts organisation over four school holidays; October 2026, February, April and May 2027.
Workshops will respond to themes such as Sussex ecology and heritage, inclusive practice and intergenerational creative play, and non-outcome focused making.
All three organisations are committed to supporting early career artists and practitioners from a broad range of art forms to develop their socially engaged practice.
Towner hosts free, drop-in Family Day takeovers each Friday across the holidays (excluding December and Summer holidays). The sessions take place across the whole building 12.00 - 4.00pm with a Quiet Hour 11.00am - 12.00pm.

Job Requirements
Work in response to the needs and interests of the people you work with
Have experience of leading or supporting creative workshops for family audiences from diverse backgrounds
Have the ability to work collaboratively with another practitioner and to create a friendly and safe environment for adults and children
Have a knowledge of the social and financial conditions surrounding access to the arts
Are skilled at supporting family groups to develop their creative
confidence, bringing in new materials, references, techniques and ideas into the gallery environment
Are able to plan activities in response to organisational themes
Use re-usable biodegradable and/or natural materials wherever possible
Have a knowledge of safeguarding best practice
Have a DBS Certificate or are willing to obtain one
