Job Summary

PRS Foundation seeks new Trustees as the charity builds on 25 years of investing in the future of music. Joining our Board of Trustees is a fantastic opportunity to steer a pioneering and collaborative organisation at a crucial time.

Job Description

We are looking to fill 3 vacancies and seek to fill gaps and complement existing Trustee expertise and backgrounds through this recruitment process.

Eligible candidates will have extensive experience and a track-record within one or more of the following areas:
* Fundraising and income generation
* Grassroots live music experience
* Contemporary classical music expertise
* Finance experience at senior level
Other useful experience includes:
* People who are passionate about the role of research, evaluation and data within the next phase of the charity's work
* Candidates with media and communications expertise
* Those with transferable experience in industries outside of music (to give strong 'outside' perspective).

We are also looking for
* People with regions and UK Nations' perspectives
* People with lived experience of underrepresentation and marginalisation, including Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent candidates
* Candidates who work outside our existing networks and those who have not yet sat on other Boards and bring fresh perspectives
* Those who have built, run or lead businesses in music or other creative industries.

We care about new music and empowering music creators from all backgrounds to fulfil their potential, sustain careers and reach audiences around the world.

Job Requirements

We are looking for people who:
*Can contribute to our dynamic Board, complement the skills and experiences of existing Trustees, and will enjoy working with a proactive team
*Are passionate about the arts and understand the importance of supporting our most talented music creators to the UK's world-beating creative industries
* Can help the Foundation through its next phase of development
* Would garner trust from key music industry stakeholders and colleagues
* Would encourage the Foundation's entrepreneurial spirit by helping us to develop innovative partnerships
* Have respect within music, arts or business sector, to attract new interest, donors and strategic alliances.

Job Responsibilities

The roles are voluntary, non-executive and with reasonable expenses paid.
