Job Summary

Club Des Chouchous seeks a confident, experienced native French-speaking performer to deliver weekly storytelling sessions in North, West and Central London. The role combines performance, language learning and classroom leadership within a structured term-time programme, starting September 2026.

Job Description

The performer will be assigned to one or more schools or nurseries and will be responsible for delivering weekly French storytelling sessions, combining storytelling, singing, musical storytelling with percussion, stop motion animation, improvisation and sensory elements, primarily in French.

We are currently looking to fill the following weekly availability:

Wednesday (essential availability between 13:00-15:00)
Tuesday (ideally also available 12:00-12:30pm/1pm)
These are the sessions currently available. As we continue expanding our programme and adding new partner schools and nurseries, additional weekly sessions may become available for performers interested in taking on more venues.

This is a paid, weekly position beginning September 2026, with potential to grow into further sessions as the term progresses. The performer should be flexible and willing to grow with the business, available daytime weekdays for at least the next year (to end of 2027), and not seeking full-time work - a portfolio career suits this role. We'd also want confirmation of intention to remain in London for the foreseeable future.
