Job Description
Festival Assistants (FAs) are enthusiastic, dedicated and hard-working individuals who support the day-to-day running of the Festival, playing a vital role in ensuring its success. Reporting to the Director of Administration, the FAs work as a team on a range of administrative and front-of-house duties. These positions are suited to someone looking to gain experience in arts administration and events management and previous Festival Assistants have gone on to enjoy successful careers in these areas.

Job Requirements
All FAs are required be resident in Oxford and most work full-time from Wednesday 7 October to Saturday 24 October inclusive. An earlier start date applies to FAs working on Box Office, Marketing, Development, Surtitles. Exact working hours will be determined with the successful applicants and agreed in advance. FAs are paid the Oxford Living Wage of £14.06 per hour and it is anticipated that FAs work around 8 hours per day, 6 days a week on average, from 7 to 24 October inclusive. We are also open to applications for part-time work. The ideal candidate will be:
- happy working in a small but dedicated team
- based in or near Oxford
- prepared to work intensively during the Festival
- friendly, enthusiastic, innovative, self-motivated, industrious, and resourceful
Job Responsibilities
Our FAs work on a range of administrative and front-of-house duties to ensure the success of the Festival. In consultation with the successful candidates, we will determine which area they will work in -

Marketing
Development
Surtitle Operation
Page-Turning
Artist Liaison
Front of House
