Job Summary
Job Description
We are looking for an administrator with project coordination experience to support in the lead up to our Wassail Winter Festival & Market, for 1 day per week from the end of August to midDecember. This is a hybrid role, with in person meetings required at our studio in Harlow on Mondays, but flexible working allowed for the remainder of hours. You will be required in person on Saturday 12th December. It is the third year of our Wassail Winter Festival; a joyous community celebration involving market stalls, performances, our resident Green Man and folk-inspired festive cheer, creating new traditions for a New Town. We are excited to work with a new team member to ensure the smooth running of an even bigger and better festival this December.
Fee:
£2145 for 13 days, breaking down to £165 per day. Each day is 8 hours including a 1 hour paid lunch break.
Job Requirements
Essential experience and skills:
- Experience with financial processes
- Excellent report writing skills
- Excellent communication
- Confident using Microsoft Excel, Google suite
- Registered self employed
Desirable Experience and Skills:
- On the DBS update service
- Based in Harlow or the surrounding area
- Project Management experience
- Events experience
- Digital marketing experience
- Experience in the creative & cultural industries
Other requirements:
- Must be available on the 12th of December
Legal requirements:
- Must be registered as self-employed, and therefore take charge of their own tax payments
Job Responsibilities
As the administrator you will:
- Liaise with stallholders
- Keep budgets and working documents up to date
- Monitor and evaluate impact of the Winter Wassail Festival event
- Maintain and develop financial systems for the day to day running of Matipo Arts
- Monitor emails and social media channels
- Undertake other related tasks as necessary, as part of the day to day administration of the business
Holding a current DBS check, or being willing to undertake one, and being registered as selfemployed are requirements for this role.
