Job Description

The Alumni Manager at East London Arts and Music (ELAM) plays a strategic, relationship-driven role at the heart of our mission to create meaningful pathways into the creative industries for young people from underrepresented backgrounds. You will lead the development and delivery of ELAM's alumni strategy, building a thriving alumni community while ensuring graduates remain connected, supported and equipped to progress successfully in their careers.

Working closely with alumni, industry partners, employers, recruitment agencies and the wider ELAM team, you will develop opportunities that support progression into employment, internships, apprenticeships and higher education, while strengthening long-term relationships between alumni, current trainees and the creative industries.

The role encompasses alumni engagement, employer partnerships, events, communications and employability. You will design and deliver career development initiatives including CV, portfolio and interview support, networking opportunities, workshops and regular alumni communications, alongside developing resources that support career progression beyond graduation.

You will also coordinate ELAM's Alumni Board, organise networking and celebration events, oversee alumni communications and storytelling, and develop systems to track destinations, measure impact and demonstrate progression outcomes. Working with colleagues across the Trust, you will help shape programmes that strengthen alumni engagement and contribute to ELAM's wider strategic objectives.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an organised, proactive and highly collaborative professional with excellent communication and partnership-building skills, an understanding of the creative industries and a genuine commitment to widening access and helping young people thrive.
