Assisting the production and Stage Management teams with the running of rehearsals and performances, performing tracks and conducting maintenance;
Ensuring that stage and rehearsal environments are set-up and maintained as required with appropriate set, props, mark-ups and other effects as necessary;
Assisting the Stage Management and creative teams with rehearsal requirements and requests;
Performing ASM plots as directed by the Stage Manager, which may include onstage cues in costume;
Supporting pre-show checks, scene changes, resets and post-show duties, understudy rehearsals and press/promotional activity as required;
Maintaining props, cue sheets, show track paperwork and ASM bibles as required;
Liaising with the Stage Manager and relevant departments regarding the condition of props, scenic items and other production elements;
Assisting with the safe and consistent running of production elements allocated to Stage Management, in accordance with training, risk assessments and show procedures;
Learning other plots within the department and providing absence cover for other members of the department as necessary;
Working collaboratively with all other departments including the technical team in order to ensure the smooth running of the production;
Representing the Producer with diplomacy, discretion and courtesy at all times, safeguarding confidential information;
Any other reasonable duty that would normally fall within the remit of an Assistant Stage Manager based on industry norms and practice.
