Job Description

PROJECT SUMMARY:

ROYO are delighted to announce that beloved dancer, Strictly Come Dancing host and star of the West End smash-hit musical Kinky Boots, JOHANNES RADEBE will tour the UK from 1 April - 13 June 2027 with a gala performance at the London Palladium on 9 May 2027.

Rehearsal Week 1: w/c 15th March 2027 (London)
Rehearsal Week 2: w/c 22nd March 2027 (London)

TECHNICAL REHEARSALS
w/c 29th March 2027 (Wycombe Swan Theatre)

Job Requirements

- Clear, confident communication within the Stage Management team, technical departments, performers, and production staff.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, live production environment
- Practical making skills, especially in carpentry and joinery, are required.
- Familiarity with and adherence to current Health & Safety guidelines relevant to the production is essential, which may include working at height, using appropriate safety equipment and clothing and attending training as deemed necessary.

Job Responsibilities

- Deliver all stage management services to the highest professional standards.
- Work closely with the Director, Creative Team, Technical Stage Manager and production staff.
- Ensure the smooth running of rehearsals, technical rehearsals and performances.
- Support fit-ups, load-outs and, where required, manage backstage operations and scene changes.
- Maintain the production in line with the original creative vision.
- Oversee departments and resolve operational challenges.
- Communicate updates to Production Management, General Management and the creative team.
- Prepare payroll, timesheets, petty cash, accident, incident and show reports.
- Submit nightly attendance, sales and performance reports.
- Provide Front of House with performance information.
- Coordinate press and publicity requirements.
- Be familiar with all stage management tracks and monitor understudy and swing performances.
