Job Description
On Track is Scott Peacock's first major theatre project - a new immersive theatre piece blending live performance and film to tell an authentic story rooted in lived experience of disability, mental health and family dynamics. Influenced by film, video game storytelling and social commentary theatre, it explores how immersive techniques and cinematic language can deepen emotional connection while remaining genuinely accessible.
This Arts Council England-funded R&D (National Lottery Project Grants, June 2026 - March 2027) brings together artists, community participants and partners in Gloucester and Tewkesbury to explore story, form and access, laying foundations for a future full-scale production.
The project team includes associate producer Eleni Kyriacou, dramaturgical support from Derek Bond (Artistic Director, The Roses Theatre) and strategic business mentor Amy Dalton-Hardy.
The Creative Enabler is a core part of this team - not a support role sitting outside the creative work, but a presence that makes the work possible. This is a hybrid role: part access support, part creative collaborator, part community producer and admin right-hand, with the balance shifting depending on the day.
Contract: Freelance, £300 per day, 20 days across the project period (Oct 2026 - July 2027, may extend). Days vary in length and include studio sessions, community engagement and lighter-touch support (diary management, correspondence, coordination). Based in or around Gloucester, Tewkesbury, Worcester or the surrounding area - a full manual driving licence and own vehicle are required, as you'll drive Scott to all sessions.

Job Requirements
This role doesn't require specific qualifications - what matters is the right mix of attributes and approach. You'll bring:
Genuine passion for creativity, theatre and the arts, and excitement about being close to the making of something new - without taking over or leading
A real understanding of, or willingness to learn about, working alongside a disabled artist, and an appreciation that this is skilled, important work
Practical reliability: strong organisation, time management, follow-through, and the ability to hold complexity without dropping things
Confidence and warmth in community settings; comfort holding space in group environments
Clear, warm communication with Scott, collaborators, partners and community participants
A full manual driving licence and your own transport - ideally based in or near Gloucester, Tewkesbury or Worcester
Patience, compassion and the ability to adapt when plans change
Creativity in your own right, and a collaborative
Job Responsibilities
You'll work closely alongside Scott throughout the R&D, moving between access support, creative collaboration and community producing.
In the rehearsal room: driving Scott to sessions, recording sessions for review, providing prompts to support short-term memory needs, helping make spaces physically accessible, communicating access needs to collaborators, and taking creative notes.
In community engagement: supporting 2-4 open roundtable readings and sharings (logistics, access support, documenting feedback), open community workshops (Sept/Oct 2026), a monthly lived experience steering group, and acting as a warm point of contact for participants; conducting evaluation surveys.
In day-to-day working life: diary management, booking and scheduling, scribing emails and meeting notes, attending creative connection meetings and partnership conversations, coordinating travel across Gloucester, Tewkesbury and surrounding areas, and contributing to project documentation.
