The Community Engagement Officer supports Live & Local's work across the East Midlands, helping communities access and participate in arts, cinema, and cultural activities. Working as part of the Engagement Team, the role focuses on building strong relationships with volunteers, community groups, local authorities, funders, and partner organisations.

The postholder will recruit and support volunteer-led community groups, helping them successfully plan and deliver local events. This includes providing advice on event programming, marketing, audience development, ticket pricing, and general event management. Regular communication with volunteers and attendance at community events are key aspects of the role.

The role also supports the development of new projects and initiatives by identifying opportunities for community engagement, partnerships, and funding. This includes organising networking events, supporting project delivery, and helping communities strengthen their local cultural offer.

In addition, the Community Engagement Officer maintains stakeholder relationships, prepares reports and evaluation information, contributes to communications and social media activity, and helps demonstrate the impact of Live & Local's work. The role requires excellent communication and organisational skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to supporting vibrant and sustainable community networks
