We are seeking a Communications & Marketing Manager to lead communications, digital marketing, social media and content across Art Explora UK’s programmes, working with the Director, programme teams, PR agency and partners to ensure strong engagement with schools, educators, media and the public.

Job Description

Art Explora UK is a small but entrepreneurial arts charity looking for a creative and driven Communications & Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team at Somerset House. This is a new permanent post, created to provide dedicated in-house communications and marketing expertise at a pivotal moment of growth for Art Explora UK.

The Communications & Marketing Manager will lead day-to-day communications, digital marketing, social media and content activity across all of Art Explora UK's programme strands, working closely with the Director and programme teams. They will coordinate with our external PR consultancy, Bolton & Quinn, and partner organisation comms teams, to ensure Art Explora UK is consistently well-represented to all audiences - from schools and educators to arts professionals, media, partners and the wider public.

The postholder will also work closely with the Art Explora France communications team to align messaging and contribute to global comms where relevant.

This is a unique opportunity to play a central role in shaping the public profile of an internationally connected arts charity, contributing to an ambitious and growing portfolio of programmes that bring world-class art and culture to communities across the UK.

Job Requirements

Experience in communications, marketing or PR, ideally in the arts, culture or education sectors.

Proven ability to manage multi-channel communications, including social media, email, websites and digital campaigns.

Excellent writing and editing skills, with experience creating engaging content for different audiences.

Experience planning and delivering marketing or PR campaigns, including working with external agencies.

Good understanding of digital marketing, including SEO, analytics, email marketing and social media.

Confident using CMS, email marketing and design tools (e.g. Adobe).

Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.
Creative approach to storytelling and audience engagement.

Experience supporting a website launch or major digital project is desirable.

Willingness to travel and occasionally work outside office hours.
Passion for the arts and increasing access to culture.

Job Responsibilities

Digital Media & Content
Lead Art Explora UK's communications across web, email, social media and digital channels, managing the content calendar, creating engaging content, producing newsletters, and growing audiences through influencers, educators and sector networks.

Press & Marketing
Create press releases, news stories, blogs, case studies and campaign materials. Coordinate with our PR agency to maximise media coverage, lead digital PR and influencer outreach, and monitor campaign performance.

Website & CRM
Support the launch and ongoing management of Art Explora UK's new website and CRM, ensuring content is accurate and up to date.

Brand & Campaigns
Champion the Art Explora UK brand, ensuring all communications are high quality and consistent. Deliver integrated marketing campaigns and support events with programme teams and partners.

General
Work with Art Explora's communications team in Paris and monitor, analyse and report on communications performance.
