Job Description
The Senior Marketing Officer is responsible for planning, delivering and evaluating a portfolio of marketing campaigns for Theatre Royal Plymouth's diverse programme of productions and events. Working under the direction of the Marketing Manager (Stages & Revenue), the role ensures campaigns are delivered on time, within budget and achieve agreed sales, audience development and engagement objectives. The postholder will build and maintain strong relationships with visiting producers, external partners and colleagues across the organisation, ensuring Theatre Royal Plymouth's programme is promoted creatively and effectively, reaching existing audiences while inspiring new ones to experience everything the theatre has to offer.
Job Requirements
Plan and deliver integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, media and on-site channels, managing budgets and timelines.
Act as the main contact for visiting producers, agencies and media buyers on allocated campaigns.
Write compelling copy and brief creative assets with the Design Manager.
Ensure campaigns are accurately represented across TRP's website, digital platforms, email marketing and venue signage.
Work with Marketing colleagues to deliver engaging social media, email and multi-channel campaigns.
Monitor campaign performance, ROI and audience insights, producing reports and recommendations.
Build strong relationships with producers and partners, maximising campaign opportunities.
Support audience development initiatives through targeted marketing activity.
Oversee print, display and campaign collateral, ensuring consistency and timely delivery.
Manage campaign budgets, supplier invoicing and administrative processes.
Represent TRP at press nights, previews & events
Job Responsibilities
Lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of marketing campaigns for touring productions, achieving sales and audience development targets.
Monitor campaign performance using data and insight, identifying risks and recommending improvements.
Develop creative, engaging campaigns that reflect TRP's brand and connect with audiences.
Take ownership of allocated campaigns, ensuring activity is delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard.
Work collaboratively with Marketing colleagues to integrate email, content and digital activity into campaigns.
Build and maintain strong relationships with producers, agencies and suppliers to deliver successful campaigns.
Use audience insight, segmentation and research to support audience growth and engagement.
